origins:
Trades Hall Bowling Club plays Crown Green Bowls and offers league and social bowling for all ages.
Trades Hall Bowling Club was founded in Edwardian times. The club is named after the Trades Hall. The building was used by Trade Unions who represented trades such the Bleachers and Dyers - who were connected to the Calico textile printing industry of New Mills - as a meeting place, office and social club. Trades Hall was on the site circa 2005.
Also in the past, the Foresters Bowling Club have made use of Trades Hall Bowling Green.

where we play bowls:
Trades Hall Bowling Club play in leagues located in North Derbyshire and Greater Manchester.
This is in addition to social bowling, during the season, which takes place on a daily or weekly basis.
If you are new to bowling:
As previously mentioned, Trades Hall Bowling Club play Crown Green Bowls.
There's opportunities for prospective members to have a go at Crown Green Bowling at the Trades Hall Bowling Club.
These sessions are free of charge and are supervised by experienced players.
All equipment is also provided free and you'll have the opportunity to try out bowls of various sizes and weights - all we ask is that you bring good humour and your footwear is flat-soled.
